The Art of Drawing . . .

On the face! Friday Afternoon, I had to wake the kids up and we needed to go. This is what they woke up looking like.

Seriously, it could be much worse. I asked them what was on their faces and they said they wanted to be tigers. I think Winston supplied the pen (permanent) and Shaelyn did the art work.
I think if I was having a bad day, then I would have been upset, but fortunately I was having a good day and I couldn't help but chuckle. I tried to keep my mommy face on and tell them that it is not okay to color on our bodies. I hopefully got the point across, and it won't be happening anytime soon.
When I snapped these pictures they weren't quite awake yet. Also I wanted to give you this weeks weigh-in update. I lost another 3 pounds, woo hoo! I am almost into the 160's, hopefully next week! Do my toes look skinnier? LOL!Again, Thank You All for you nice supportive comments, you guys really keep me going!

Shaelyn's Family Birthday Party

Last night we celebrated Shaelyn's 5th Birthday! She was so excited all day, everyone she saw she told them that it was her Birthday, weather she knew them or not. She will be having a real party with her friends in a couple of Saturdays, so we just had a small family party. Anyway, Walter was the photographer, and he snapped a picture of William but not the birthday girl. I am sure we will get lots of those at her other party. So Will really was liking his cupcake.
So here are the videos from last night. In the first one Shaelyn is decorating the cupcakes for everyone else. I just want to say that I did have a cupcake but there wasn't any frosting on it. 1 cupcake = 98 calories. I did half of the oil required and the other half was apple sauce, I also did just egg whites instead of the whole egg. Just a little bit more healthy. I was informed that I could substitute all of the oil with applesauce, I will have to try it next time.
This is Shaelyn blowing out her candles. This is a practice round for the big cake.
This is the kids enjoying their cupcakes!

So a little bird told me that I hadn't posted a weight update in a while (I have a private blog that I update more often), so anyway I thought I would update you all.

So I have officially lost exactly 10 lbs. since the start of the competition. I can't wait to see the next 10 come off. Thanks for your encouragement!

What do you do with your boxes?

We had just finished with a box and Shaelyn got a hold of it. She wanted to make a mask, somehow we ended up making a "robot" mask. Real quick and easy, just take a kitchen knife and cut a square. Winston saw the "robot" mask and said he wanted a "Buzz Lightyear" mask, so we made him the same one. They both got a kick out of it. Just watch the video. Who knew a box could be so entertaining. Walter is convinced that we only need boxes for toys, and get rid of all the rest. We'll see.
So this next half of the post has nothing to do with boxes, but anyway, two weeks ago we had a REALLY nice Saturday. So we had to take advantage of it and have some playtime outside. The kids had a ball riding their bikes.

He's 1 . . . a month ago.

At least I didn't post it a year later. Anyway here are some photos of Williams 1st Birthday. I think he likes chocolate! Everyone else had cupcakes. Shaelyn even helped with decorating the cupcakes, she is good at putting sprinkles on!
In this picture I think William wasn't diggin' the messy part.

Winston showing off his Chocolate face.
Shaelyn showing off her Chocolate face. In this picture it looks like her bangs are cut too short.
While we were singing the song William touched the flame and found out it was hot. I think he recovered when he ate some chocolate, I think it can cure most anything, don't you?

Here are some videos from that night. I think he was the fastest to dig in out of all 3 kids.

Hair Cuts All Around

A couple of Saturdays ago we decided that just about everyone needed a hair cut, so we made a morning of it. William had a kind of freaky mullet going on. I did my best with all the squirming, Walter was there to help control him, sort of. William was so ready to be done, this was the best after photo I could get.

Here is the before picture of Winston, he did pretty good with with a little bribery.

Walter was even a good boy and posed for a photo. I wanted to get a picture of everyone, Daddy included! Thanks babe!

Shaelyn even received a trim. The only one who didn't was me. I am not very good at cutting my own hair (really I haven't tried), and I can't justify paying someone to do it for me. Anyway, here is the after photo of everyone together!

Shiner

Do you like Winston's black eye? This happened at the end of January. He actually got it from falling off of a little mini cooler and into a chair. It was probably one of the scariest accidents that has happened at my house. He had a huge goose bump off the side of his head. It turned black like this the next morning.

I was trying to get an updated picture of Winston's eye and Shaelyn insisted I take a picture of her. So she posed.

This is a few days later, it migrated to the bottom of his eye making it look even worse.

I thought this was a cute picture, they actually look like they like each other, lol! Just kidding, they are the best of buds!

I also thought I would give you my first week update.Isn't that awesome, I still can't believe it! A whole 4.6 pounds in one week! I know that most of it is probably water weight and also had to do with yesterday was fast Sunday, but Still! Anyway, here is a healthy recipe that I have come across in a pampered chef recipe book. They are pretty good.

Sweet and Saucy Meatballs
Meatballs
1/4 C chopped onion
1 package (1 1/4 lbs) 93% lean ground turkey
1 egg white
1/4 C seasoned dry bread crumbs
1 tsp dried thyme leaves
1 garlic clove minced
1/2 tsp salt
Sauce (We didn't make the sauce because we didn't have all the ingredients so we used Mr Yoshitas sauce and ketchup mixed together, it was yummy)
1 can (8 oz) jellied cranberry sauce
1/4 C ketchup
1/4 C orange marmalade
2 T Brown Sugar
1 T Worcestershire sauce
Preheat oven to 400 deg. Combine all Meatball ingredients in a bowl. Form 1 inch balls; place in a single layer over bottom of 9X13 pan. Bake 15 minutes; drain.
Meanwhile, combine sauce ingredients, mix well. Pour over meatballs evenly. Return to oven; continue baking 15 minutes.
*If you want to make the meatballs without the sauce just reduce the time to 25 minutes. These would be great in spaghetti
